Rating Obama's college ratings

One of the shortcomings of the Obama Administration's college rankings system is that it devalues programs that lead to low-paying professions such as social work and teaching, according to this piece from the New York Times. Recommended by Don Wortham.

  1. A larger (and admittedly more intractable) problem is that society devalues professions such as social work and teaching by not paying them well.

  2. Agreed. It's not just the Obama Administration.

  3. Unfortunately, it is the United States that devaluates professions such as teaching and social work. In the United Kingdom and Canada for example, these same careers are highly paid and well respected and many individuals choose not to share their knowledge and expertise here in America because of the disparities
